"Raise your hand against smacking" is a Europe-wide awareness-raising initiative against corporal punishment of children, launched by the Council of Europe in June 2008. It aims to contribute to the full prohibition of corporal punishment of children, to promote positive parenting and to raise awareness of children's rights throughout Europe.

"Good Parent - Good Start" 




TV Spots by Nobody’s Children Foundation, Poland 2009

"Good Parent - Good Start" is a preventive programme aimed at preventing the abuse of the youngest children. The project involves both national and local activities. It was launched in 2007 as a pilot programme implemented in selected Warsaw districts. The initiative was welcomed with much interest by both parents and professionals who took part in the programme. The goal of the programme is to protect young children from abuse through supporting their parents/caregivers in parenting without violence - by offering them free access to educational resources and support services.

Dzieciństwo bez przemocy - "Childhood without Violence" Campaign




TV Spot by Nobody’s Children Foundation, State Agency for the Prevention of Alcohol-Related Problems and Polish Nationwide Emergency Service for Victims Of Domestic Violence "Blue Line". Poland 2001

The main objective of the campaign was to increase social involvement into actions towards fighting child abuse. Therefore, campaign's activities included promotion of positive solutions on prevention, protection and intervention in child abuse cases and encouraging local communities and institutions into undertaking suitable actions. The campaign was also aimed at improving the system of family assistance and at developing parental skills and attitudes.

ChildLine is the free helpline service for children provided by the NSPCC. It operates 365 days a year, and in the past nearly 160,000 children per year received counselling from the telephone service.
