Within the framework of “Respect Works Out!” 50,000 copies of the booklet on non-violent child-raising have been disseminated respectively in Germany, Poland and the UK using different means.
In Germany, the booklet was posted to parents in Berlin with children between two to eight years of age and distributed to a number of local family support centres, day nurseries and schools.
In Poland, the booklet was disseminated to FDN’s service users, inserted into a “Welcome Pack” for parents with new born children in hospitals in five districts of Warsaw, and distributed in other Polish regions through FDN network partners.
In the UK parents received the booklet via NSPCC’s local family support services, Sure Start centres throughout the country as well as in women’s refuge centres. A number of local authorities also distributed the booklet via their Local Safeguarding Children Boards, a multi-agency network working on securing child protection.
The booklet can be ordered free of charge or be downloaded from the project partners’ websites. To read about the responses we received from parents, see Parent’s Feedback.
